Tin believes in fair and sustainable business.
By producing in the county of origin we stimulate the local economy and contribute to employment opportunities. We prefer to produce our teas organic, Fairtrade and/or Rainforest Alliance certified. Tin also thinks about the environment when it comes to packaging and tea bags. We want to make our footprint as small as possible and are one step ahead on sustainable developments, like biodegradable tea bags or packaging made of organic waste. Tin is there for co-initiator of the GreenDeal, in which we replaced nylon tea bags by biodegradable alternatives. In addition, we use FSC certified paper and recycled master cartons.

With the Fair Tea Foundation we invest in better health and living conditions for the people living and working on the tea estates in Sri Lanka. With every sold kilo of our own brands we contribute financially to local projects in Sri Lanka. Like clean drinking water, schoolbooks, plumbing facilities or medical support.
